One UI 4.1 update is live for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3! - SamMobile

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 are now Samsung’s first foldable phones to have received One UI 4.1. The update also includes the March 2022 security patch, though, as of now, the new firmware is available for Galaxy Z Flip 3 customers in South Korea and Europe and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in South Korea.

For customers in Samsung’s home country, the new Z Flip 3 update can be identified by firmware version F711NKSU2CVC5. Meanwhile, Galaxy Z Flip 3 users in Europe are looking at firmware version F711BXXU2CVC5.

For customers in South Korea, the One UI 4.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 carries firmware version F926NKSU1CVC5.

Assuming that the update lands on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in South Korea and Europe without a hitch, we can assume that it will roll out in other regions shortly.

Obviously, the best part about the new update is One UI 4.1. Samsung mentioned yesterday that the update should be going live soon, and it did. One UI 4.1 introduces new camera features that have debuted with the Galaxy S22 lineup, and the company also detailed which features, exactly, will be coming to what smartphone models.

In short, Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 owners can look forward to new camera features such as: night portrait functions, pet recognition, lighting position editing functions, and improved Director’s View. However, telephoto portrait video is limited to the Z Fold 3.

Google Duo integration, updates to Samsung Health and the Gallery app, improvements to Samsung Keyboard and Calendar, and more, are also part of the update. You can refer to the image gallery below for a closer look at the official changelog.

As for the included March 2022 security patch, it has so far been released for a handful of Samsung smartphones, mostly flagships, and it also arrived on the Galaxy A52 and S10 Lite. Samsung went into more details about the March 2022 security update last week. It addresses over 50 vulnerabilities affecting Android OS and Samsung software.

As usual, you can download new updates OTA once the notification arrives on your phone, or you can try triggering the update from the Settings app on your phone (go to the About Phone section and tap Software Update). You can also download the update manually from the firmware section on our website and install it on your phone using Samsung’s official Odin tool.
